Robert Port, a merchant, has assigned his estate. His liabilities are stated to be £45,000 -intUaasets £66,000. The Houser ejected the proposal in favour of condensing Hansard reports. The Government opposed the motion to impose import duty on coal. Havvea, Dec. 4. Mr P. C. Moore, chemist, died suddenly last night at 10 o’clock. Hot feeling well at about 5 o’clock, he took a soothing draught, probably chloral, after which he sank into a state of coma. He was in excellent spirits during the day, and had been preparing to open a debate that evening at the Debating Club. He was highly respected and was a universal favorite both privately and :professionally. He leaves a wife but no children. GnAHAMBTOWN. Dec. 4.
