In the House to-day Sir (George - Grey moved, as an amendment, that the decision of the Christchurch Election Committee should be expunged from journals. Ho quoted the precedents to justify this. Mr Hall replied and said, that while such cases were tried by committees, the House would be bound to uphold their decision. Sir George Grey’s motion was neg atived by 36 to 21.
