Wm. McCann was charged with allowing 'four horses, his properly, to wander upon the railway line. Fined £5, with costs 7s. CIVIL CASES’. K. F. Gray v.'Terrv—Claim £8 19s 6d. Judgment for plaintiff by consent, with cosis. To be paid within one month. James Mcßae v. D. Shugrue —Claim £3 10s.
Judgment given for plaintiff for amount claimed and costs.
Henry and Findlay v. L. Healey—Claim £7 ss. Judgment for plaintiff by delimit. E. Brown v. J. H. Reid —Claim £5 16s, j udg ui ent su mmons. The defendant did not appear, and the plaintiff, being unable to prove the ability of the defendant to pay, the case was dismissed with costs.
R. Mcßae v. T. Qninne—Claim, £8 ss. Mr Johnston for plaintiff, and Mr Hamersley for defendant. After a great amount of evidence had been taken, but which was of no public interest, His Worship gave judgment for plaintiff|for £2 16s, allowing for a set-off, amounting to £2 14s, with costs and solicitor’s fee, 10s 6d. M. J. Knublev v. M. J. Ruddick— Claim, £75 Os lid. Judgment for plaintiff. J. Knubloy v. E. P. Mitchell—Claim, £45 4s Id.
His Worship gave judgment for plaintiff for £3O.
M. Dunn v. Sealy Bros.—Claim, £7 17s, for carting and ploughing. His Worship granted a nonsuit. Judgment was given by default, with costs, in the following cases;— D. Larkin v. R. Smith—Claim, £29 10s (Mr Johnston for plaintiff) ;C. Story v. Hape (a native) —Claim, £5 Is Gd ; G._ Thompson v. Wood and Hornbrook— Claim, £lB 14s 6d ; Wilson and Sons v. W. Holland—Claim, £4 ; D. Young v. Qninne —Claim, £3 ss.
