SUPPOSED WRECK AT WELLINGTON HEADS.

Wellington, July 7. It is nracli feared that a deplorable wreck occurred near Peucarrow head during the late violent southerly gales, and that all hands have perished. The following telegram was sent in by the pilot to the harbor master this afternoon :■ —"A quantity of wreckage has been found at Pencairow, consisting of deck planking, three inch, some portions of bulwarks and rail, painted green' cabin fittings, birdseye maple panelled. Some of the wreckage is painted blue. A figure head, a fiddle shield in the centre, painted vermillion, with scrool work, green and gold ; a seaman's chest, without lid, and no marks ; part of a boat painted black. The wreckage is scattered from Pencarrow head to Saltwater lake, about four miles."

It is reported tonight that one of the boats has been found, but this is not confirmed.
