INLAND, The rata for Inland Telegrams of 10 words is Is ; and Id extra for every additional word. On Sundays these rates are doubled. No charge, for addresses arid signature up to 10 words —ld each beyond that number. FOKEIGN. The following are the Rates for Telegrams for twenty words or.less (including Melbourne or Sydney rates) via Port Darwin and the Java, Cable ; Austria ... £9 5 C London ... £9 8 6 Belgium and Portuga ... 99 0 - Holland 9G 0 Russia ... 96 0 Denmark... 95 6 Spain ... 98 0 France ... 96 0 Sweden ... 95 0 Germany... 95 6 Switzerland 94 0 Greatßritain9 9 6 Turkey ... 9 6 Italy ... 93 6 Via Sydney the rates are 3 s more throughout. Telegraph offices are open from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. on week days, and from 10 to 10.30 a.m. and 5 to 5.30 p.m. o Sundays.
NEW ZEALAND CABLE. (In addition to New Zealand charges) Telegrams for Sydney only.—First ten words, 8s ; each additional word, 9£J. All other stations in New South Wales.—First ten words 8s Cd ; each additional word lOd. All stations in Victoria.—First ten words 9s 6d ; each additional word lid. All stations in South Australia, exclusive of overland line tariff,—Same as Victoria. All stations in Tasmania.—First ten words, 13s 6d ; Is per word for Australian and New Zealand Cable, and 2s for every additional five words or fraction of five words, for Tasmanian cable. Messages for London and places in Europe (a word rate). —Ten shillings And sixpence per word ; to which must ae added Au-tralipn Cable and Austraban charges.—First ten words or fraction, 9s fid, and every word utter ten lid per word.
