A considerable number of sheep and cattle were entered, but the bidding was depressed, and not many were sold. 2000 sheep were penned, and 38 head of cattle, and a few horses. The auctioneering firms of Maclean and Stewart, Jonas, Hart and Wildie, and Palmer and Collins were represented. The prices realised for stock was extremely low.
