AUSTRALIAN NEWS.
Syoxey, May 5. The weather is improving, but unusually cold, snow falling in the western and southern districts. A heavy southerly gale has prevailed since Saturday. The schooner Margaret Ciiestell has been wrecked at Newcastle. All the crew were saved, but Captain To am send was drowned.
