The Sultan of Turkey banquetted the officers of the English fleet. Colonial debentures are in active demand. AUSTRALIAN NEWS. Sydney, March 19. Sir Hercules R,obinson departed to-day ! for New Zealand in H.M. corvette Emerald, accompanied by Commodore Wilson, in H.M.S. Wolverine. Prior to his departure his Excellency held a farewell levee, which was attended by a large number of persons. Farewell addresses from both Houses of Parliament were presented to him. Sir Alfred Stephen assumes the position of Lieut.-Governor to-morrow. Thousands were present to witness Governor Robinson's departure.
