Penny — Metcalfe In the Hawera Methodist Church, on August 8, Infelice, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Metcalfe, Alton, was married to Raymond Lewis Penny, son of Mrs. McKay, Manutahi, and the late Mr. Penny, Mangatoki. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a frock of ivory self-figured cloque. A handworked tulle veil was held by a tiara of orange blossoms. A shower bouquet was of white camellias, winter roses and asparagus fern. The bridemaids, Misses Dora and Hazel Metcalfe, sisters of the bride, wore mermaid green and light pink floral satin frocks. Shoulder-length tulle veils were fastened to a topknot of flowers. They carried bouquets of pink camellias, cherry blossoms and asparagus fern. Private Colin Penny and Lance Corporal Eric Penny were bestman and groomsman respectively. A reception was held in the Carlton tearooms, where the bride's mother, assisted by the bridegroom's mother, received the guests. The Misses Luthard, Eltham, played violin solos. For travelling the bride wore a raisin coloured ensemble, with black accessories, and carried a fur stole.
