Kakaramea Card Party

At a flag five hundred card party and dance organised by the Kakaramea soldiers' comforts committee, card play was controlled by Mr. T. Close. Prizewinners were Mesdames Davidson, Barkley, Messrs. F. Ramsbottom snr. and F, Ramsbottom jnr. Consolation prizes went to Mrs. Elliott, Miss J. Chamberlain and Mr. C. Richards ; most flags to Mrs. Wishnowsky, Mrs. Barkley, Miss Myrtle Ward and Mr. H. Jobl)n, and a travelling prize to Mr. T, Hangi.' Mrs. A. Tidswell and Mr. B. Tidswell played dance music. Miss Myrtle Ward and Mr. Ewan Phillips won a Monte Carlo dance.. .Hostesaes were .Mea-> dames H. Guilford and Ward. Miss Noeline Morris, Lepperton, visited Kakaramea recently. Misses Pat and Hannah Verrisk have re-. turned to Marton. Mrs. Jere Kerrisk, Ohangai, was a recent guest of Mrs. M. Kerrisk. Mrs. C. Ricbardk and Miss Jean Richards are on holiday. Miss Jean Hunter is visiting Stratford.
