Old Residents Attend Funeral of Mrs. Squire

A number of old residents of the Hawera district attended the funeral of Mrs. Charlotte Louisa Squire at Hawera yesterday. The service at the graveside was conducted by the Rev. Wesley Parker. The coffin was draped with the ribbon of the Women's Christian Temperance Hnion, of which Mrs. Squire was a member, and members of the society filed past the graveside and dropped small piece? of white ribbon into the grave. Pall-bearers were Messrs. T. J. Hurrell, T. J. Saunders, E. Yearbury, L Barton and G. H. Tozer.
