Third Anniversary Of War as Day of Prayer
Rugby, Aug. 31. The Home Secretary, Mr. Herbert Morrison, to-day reminded the public that by the desire of the King, Thursday. which is the third anniversary of the outbreak of war, is to be observed as a national day of prayer and dedication. In connection with facilities which are being given workers, members of the services and children to participate in the morning broadcast service from 11 a.m. to 11.15, the Government desires work to cease as far as practicable during this quarter of an hour.
