Nazis Impose Death For Theft of Food Cards
Rec. 7.45 p.m. London, Aug. 31. Berlin radio says 11 Dutchmen were sentenced at The Hague, three to death 'and the others to long terms of imprisonment, for stealing a large number of food cards from the issuing office at Beverwijk and selling them for large sums. The independent Belgian news agency says the Germans fined the Liege district 1,000,000 francs after two members of the Rexist military body were killed and a third wounded. Five have been arrested for deportation to Germany unless the j perpetrators of the attack are discovjered. .
