Householders Expected To Receive Potato Allocations

No official advice has yet been received at Stratford whether the full amounts of seed potatoes applied for will be available. Seedsmen have forwarded applications to Wellington, from where instructions will come as to the release of the amounts allocated. It is expected that the allocations granted will be made available from stocks held at New Plymouth and "frozen" by a recent Government order. Although it is not possible to estimate the quantities required, it is thought that most of the applicants will receive the desired amount. Private advice received by one seedsman is that there will be no difficulty in meeting householders' requirements.
