Rahotu Card Party

A dance and card party was | held by the Rahotu Tennis Club recently, when Mr. F, MeDavitt was doorkeeper, and Mr. E. Pepperell master of ceremonies. A Monte Carlo dance was won by Miss Ruby Gush and Mr. B.- Barrett. Mrs. W. H. Butler was in charge of card play, which resulted : Mrs. G. Hopkins 1, Mrs. W. Butler 2 ; Mr. G. Dewdney 1, Mr. E. Davis 2 ; Miss Pat Robertson lucky number. Opportunity was taken to welcome Private Jim Waswo and Private E. Hopkins, recently returned from overseas. Mrs. D. Looney, secretary, controlled supper arrrangements. Prizewinners at a card party held by the Rahotu Women's Division in the home of Mrs. B. Pepperell were: Mrs. A. Putt 1. Mrs. W. Butler 2. Mrs. J.' Williamson 3 ; Mr. J. Waswo 1, Mr. W. Waswo 2, Mr. A. Pepperell 3. The Misses Morrow, New Plymouth, recently visited Mr. and Mrs. E. Morrow. Mrs. Barleyman, Kaponga, visited Mr. and Mrs. P. Norgate recently. Mrs. R. Morgan and Mrs. P. Willcox have returned from Palmerston1 North. Mr. and Mrs. T. Street have returned from Hawera
