The neglect of some next-of-kin to study the official brochure is likely to hold up the censoring of parcels, says tho prisoners of war inquiry office, Wellington, because very large numbers arecoming in with the name. and address of the sender not on the Red Cross label, acknowledgment cards not enclosed, and duplicate contents slips either left out or only one filled in. A cable received from the Red Cross commissioner in the Middle East announces that personally addressed parcels from Cairo to New Zealand prisoners of war are now totally prohibited. Acknowledgment of quarterlv parcels are now coming in freely. This week alone 280 cards were received, almost all from Stalag 8B. The office requests next-of-kin to forward copies only of any letters they may have received from Camp P.G.58 written in April or at the end of March. . The number of officially notified prisoners is now 6213, ' /ith 12 unofficial.
