Awatuna: Mrs. Bourke preslded at the August meeting, when two new members were welcomed. The basketball club made donations from the proceeds of a dance. and the disbanded Awatuna Gun Club i presented £4 2s 6d for the soldiers' parcels fund. Mrs. Boyd reported on the South Taranaki provincial executive meeting. I Competitions resulted: Lucky, Mrs. P. Ilughes; remadc garment for evacuee box, I Mrs. Ttowe 1, Mrs. Harding 2. Mrs. Ross 3;] Iiloom, Mrs. Alty 1 Mrs. F-liason 2 Mrs. ; Srolt 3; afternoon, Mrs. Eliason. Mrs. Alty supervised a bring-and-buy. Host- ! csses were Mesdames fs'orris and Scott. J
