Tututawa Farewell

Mr. and Mrs. M. Jenkin were farewelled at a soclal evening in the Tututawa hall before they left for Stratford. Mr. L. Walker, on behalf of the school committee. friends and settlers, presented Mr. and Mrs. Jenkin with a teaset and barometer. Mr. R. Corry, on behalf of the tennis club, of which Mr. and Mrs. Jenkin were members, presented them with an clectrie toaster. On behalf of the Home Guard, Mr. R. Ure presented a wallet to Mr. Jenkin. Mr. J. B. Norris spoke on behalf ot the dog triai club, and' Mrs. Wallace on behalf of the Women's Division presented a gift. Masters of ceremonies were Mr. R. Corry and Mr. J. Stevenson. Card prizewinners were Mrs. L. Taylor and Mr. M Jenkin. Dance music was played by Mr. E. Harwood and Mr. A. Graham and Misses B. Ure, M. Goble and A. Harwood. A Mcnte Carlo waltz was won by Mrs. M. Jenkin and Mr. R. Corry. Songs were sung by Miss M. Goble and Miss A. Harwood. Miss G. Verry, Waitotara, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. Stevenson. Mrs. D. Bunning was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. A. Johnston Miss J. McLean, Stratford, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace. Mr. D. McAloon, Te Wera, was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Stevenson. Miss T. Goble recently visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Goble.
