Canada To Build Avro-Lancasters

Rec. 6.45 p.m. Rugby, Aug. za. The latest type of Avro Lancaster multi-motor bomber fresh from the production line in Britain has arrived at an airport near Montreal. It was delivered to Canada, where the same type of aircraft will soon be built in quantities for the Royal Air Force. It carried full arma-
ment capable of dealing effectively with at least two enemy fighters sirnultaneously. It also embodies the latest improvements in bomb-load capacity and gunpower resulting from recent experience. The Canadian version will contain all these improvements. The plane was flown across the Atlantic by the American aviator, Clyde Pangborn.
