Norwegian Shipping And Trade Mission Arrives
Press Assn.
Wellington, Aug. 26.
Superintendent Captain Moritz W. Vaumond, of the Norwegian shipping and trade mission, arrived at Wellington to-day. He is making his headquarters in the office of the Norwegian consul. The mission plready has branches at London, New York and Australia. He is accompanied by Captain W. H. Thoresen, of the Royal Norwegian Navy. He says his presence will not affect trade to any extent or increase the number of Norwegian ships visiting New Zealand, but the need for a branch in the Dominion has been realised both for repairs and for seeing to the welfare of crews ' of Norwegian vessels. Until recently Captain Vaumond commanded a Norwegian ship in the United Nations service.
