Seed Potatoes To Be Available For Home Gardeners
Seed potatoes are to be made available for the home gardener, according to an announcement made by the Minister of Primary Production for War Purposes, the Hon. W. J. Polson. The amount of seed that will be allowed to each grower will be 281b. This advice was given by Mr. Polson to the member of Parliament for New Plymouth, Mr. F. L-. Frost, when Mr. Frost made a telephone mquiry of the Minister last night. The Minister's announcement was published by advertisement in the Wellington evening paper yesterday. Seed potatoes hitherto have been available only through the primary production councils and to. those persons prepared to plant an area of one acre orv more.
