Rec. 6.30 p.m. New York, Aug. 23. Mr. W. E. Boeing's Devil's Thumb, who was favouritc. won tlie 40th running of the 12,000-dollar Grand Union Hote! Stakes. Devil's Luck was seeond and Hyperion third in a field of 13 two-year-olds. Mr. Mvron Selznick's Can't Wait won the 10,000-doilar Saratoga Handicap, beating Mrs. Payne Whitney's Swing and Sway by a head.
