N.Z.E.F. Newspaper Ends First Year of Publication

The N.ZJLF. Times, pubiished m the Middle East and issued iree to New Zealand troops, has completed its first year of publication. Unlike most newspapers, if aoes not wish itself a long life, its objective being to serve the New Zealand forces in the Middle East as long as that is necessary. The main feature of the paper is New Zealand news sent each week from the ofSce of the Director of Publicity at Wellington. Support from national patriotic funds was given in the paper's initial stages, but since the first two issues advertising revenue has been sufficient to cover publication costs. A substantial contribution from the New Zealand Govemment has met the cost of the cable service and has supplied other news services.
