Services of Mr. A. L. Moore

Recognition of the assistance and cooperation given by Mr. A,- L. Moore, acting-headmaster at the New Plymouth Boys' High School, in the amalgamation of the technical school with the high school was placed on record by the New Plymouth High Schools' Board last night. By his work during 12 years he had assisted in making the amalgamation an unqualified success, it was stated. Mr. Moore had filled the dual position of acting-principal of the school and head of the technical side since the retirement of the former headmaster of the high school, Mr. W. H. Moyes, said the chairman, Mr. H. R. Billing, but had been forced to apply for sick leave.
