Dominion Meat Representative Dies at London
Rec. 10.10 p.m. London, Aug. 22. The death has occurred of Mr. R. S. Forsyth after six months' illness in a Londoh hospital. He was formerly European manager of the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board. After the outbreak of war he became the Ministry of Food's director of imported meat supplies. The Minister of Food, Lord Woolton, in a tribute to Mr. Forsyth, said the success of the meat control arrangements were due in no small measure to Mr. Forsyth's farsightedness, knowledge and influence. "Those of us who knew him best," continued Lord Woolton, "valued him also for his practical comrnon sense and loyalty which is so important when a scheme of control is put into operation, as well as for his generous character, strong personality and unfailing cheerfulness which was a constant inspiration to everybody who worked with him."
