Leningrad Celebrates One Year of Resistance

London, August 21. The people of Leningrad to-day are celebrating the completion of a year's resistance; to the siege. The Germans during the year lost 400,000 troops and 2864 planes near Leningrad, while Soviet sailors based on Kronstadt sunk 400 ships in the Baltic. The Pravda said: "New operations are now going on in the Leningrad region. Our troops are elated. Their motto is, 'We must fight like three'."
