Card Party at Korito
The sum of £16 10s was raised at a tlag five himdred card evening organised by Korito women iti aid of funds for C.hristmas cakes and parrels for Korito soldiers oversras. Those at the winning table were Mrs. E. Locke, Miss 0. Peters, Mr. Monk and Mr. Pat Locke, and second pri/.es went to Misses Jovce Herbert and Mavis Keast, ,trr. B. Herbert and Mr. T. Snell. Travelling flags went to Miss I. Mace and Mr. W. Molloy, and consolation prizes to Mr. and Mrs. Walshaw. Mrs. N'eiisen and J. Herbert. Mrs. P. Herbert controlled card piay. A paddy's market, in the charge of Mr. Monk, added considerably to the proceeds. . Mrs. Chard, Egmont Village, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. E. Walshaw. Mrs. Miller is visiting New Plymouth. Mr. R. Weston, Waikato, is staying with Mr. and Mrs. C. Weston.
