Hawera Court Report

In a report of a pourt case at Hawera in which E. B. Collins was charged with false pretences it was stated in the Taranaki Daily News that a witness, Moore, told Collins that Mrs. Gwen Milne; pro- ; prietress of a dying and cleaning estab- ; lishment, might be interested in the sale of 44 gallons of petrol and a set of tyres. This was incorrect. The evidence given by Moore was that he thought Mrs. Milne would not consider such a proposition. The Taranaki Daily News regrets the error in its report.
