Rahotu Plunket Society

A satisfactory year was reported at the annual mcetinR of the Rahotu I lunket Society, over which Mrs. H. Clarke presldcd. The .bank balance was considered good. The death of Mr. \V. R. Wright oceurred during the year, and it was decided to have photographs of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Wright hung in the Plunket rooms. It was reported that a quantity ot bab es clothing had been handed in, and that six bundles had been packcd ready tor emergency. Mrs. A. Darraugh supplied lunch for the nurse. Nurse Penn's report showed that new cases totalled 42. Mrs. W. J. Wright took the cliair tor the elcction of oflicers, which resulted: I'atron. Mr W. C. Greeu; president, Mrs. H. Clarke: vice-presidents, six elected ; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. A. Lowry; committee, Mesdames E. Chapnian, R. Fleming, E. Corrie, T. Healion, C. Field, R. Morgan, L. Morrow, T. Barrett and- J. Perry; auditor, Mrs. W. J. Wright; adyisory board. Messrs. C. Green, W. J. Wright, T. Hughson jnr., R. B. Fleming. Mrs. C. Green has returned from Wanganui. Miss D. Bolfe, Hawera, is the guest of Mrs. W. Fairhurst. , . Mr. and Mrs. F. Hoskin liuve returned to Waitara after visiting Mr. and Mrs. H. Clarke. _______________
