Cherry s Ticket is verv well. , ,, . Purple Y'ermecr sprinted half a miie in 53 l-as, but a much better effort over the same ground was that of TranSmitter, who recorded 51 3-5s. Lgst Survey left six furlongs behind in i£i 3-os, fl,»shi"S strongly. The Pacitlst impressed in his gallop over six furlongs ln 1.2ft, and Watehett finished ahend of Sir Cameron over ihe sante distanee ln 1.21. Belle Renarde took ^ Hunting King sprinted three furlongs in 40s, and Aero King a furiong farther in 52 2-5s, Town Section taking 53 2-as. YYee Puv showed Speed to beat Victory Lass at Ihe end of half a mtle in 51 3-oS, and Lord Defoe aild Grandora ran flve furlongs in 1.0, the last half in 52 4-5s. Clinch sprinted three furlongs in 40 4-5S, Gentry Covering the same ground ln 3ft 3-5S, the best over tlie distanee during the morning. Flvlite, assisted by Britlsh Talcnt over the last six furlongs in 1.22. ran once round in 1.51 3-5s, Ramillies beating Karaloki over a similar journey in l.o2 2-as. Dive I3oniber shaded Lo Zin at the end oi half a miie in 53 2-5s, Softly taking ols, and Foxlore 51 4-5s. Nizam moved weliover three furlongs ln 41 l-5s, and Venture and Hot Shot ran thc last six of once round in 1.24. Red Wardcn and Dependable took 1.20 4-5S for six, Transcend 52s lor half a miie, Sir Reynard 53 l-5s, and Odtaa 1.8 for flve furlongs. Camilla and Our Gold ran six furlongs ln 1.20 4-5s, YViSdore (Brown) and Mai de Mer (Bennett) led Hutana ovCr four hurdles in the ccrttfp. Forest Glen (Coon), Indian Sun (Cleaver) and Ika Moana (Brown) went over a round of the steeplcchase course, all juniplna well. . , . , Floodlight jumped the sod wall, double and stone wall, but baulked at the bruslt fence by thc miie post. He afterwards jumped the obstacle cleanly. Proud Foi Back to Form. The decisive defcat of Lovaals by Proud Fox was the highltght of the flnal gallops at Takanini. The insltle grass track, with the poles 20ft out, was cuttirtg out bi*ily as the result of overnight rain, and ln consequenee no fast ttmcs were reglstered. , . Proud Fox and Lovaals were sent seven furlongs, and after they had been together over the flrst half-mile in 52s, Proud tox forged ahead and seored uiitrouhlcd liy three lengths in 1.36 2-5s. Proud Fox has now come into strong favour for the Jellicoe Handieap- , ... Representatlve got two the better of Lord Chancellor at the start of their flve furlortgs, and he maintained his advantage to the end in 1.8. Representatlve has not done a great deal of gallopiug, but ts bright and well, and may show up on Saturday. ... ... The best effort among the hacks was that of First Edition, who defcated Miss Gay by three lengths over flve rurlongs in 1.6 2-5s. The two-year-olds Meermint and Brlef, both showed flne dash by running three furlongs in 39 3-5s. Golden Valley ran half a miie ln 54s, while Laptdarlan and Jeff completed six furlongs in 1.21 2-5s, and Ascot Bloom covercd the samo ground in 1.22 2-5s. Flying Acre Improved. The going on the outside of the course was holdtng at Te Rapa. Flying Acre (McGregor), who appears to bave beneflted from racing at Paeroa recently, was associated with Aguilo (Ensor), Airport (M. Caddv) and Sir Dingle (R. Caddy) over flve furlongs in 1.11, the initial half-mile occupying 56 l-5s Bonny Rosette (Gordon) and Y'oung Autopay (Toki) ran lo the half-mile in 59 l-5s. These members of A. C. Jones' stabte are making good progress. Town Survey (Ensor) and YVillie Pay traversed a round in 2.15 2-5s, the flrst half-mile in 58 l-5s. Chary (Toki) and Stylishman (M. Caddy) hit out over six furlongs in 1.29. Silver Note (Gordon) disclosed customary brilfiance over half a miie which he traversed in 56 4-5s. Gay Lally (Toki) and Marinoto (M Caddy) ran seven furlongs in 1.434. Both look tn good order l'or racing ahead. Ever True, a recent addition to J. L. Mulr's team, was restricted to strong work on the inner grass.
