Dance Held at Waitara
An old-time dance was oraanised by the social committee of the Waitara Returned Services' Association in the Clifton haU. Waitara. Proceeds were in aid of soldiers* parcels. Mr. D. Read was master of ceremonies. A lucky spot waltz was won by Miss R. Barnard and partner, and Private J. Bristol and partner won a Monte Carlo waltz. Supper was served by a women's committee comprising Mesdames I. Prichard, D. Read, G. H. Fletcher, A. Chadwick, J. Whittaker, J. Brough and Miss M. Pennington. Mr. A. Chadwick wns doorkeepcr. Prizewinners at a euchre party organised by the Waitara Cycie and Athletic Ciub were : Mrs. Kettle 1, Mrs. Eriwata and Mrs. Faigan equal 2 : Mr. L. Lethbridge 1, Mr. A. Sutton 2.
