Prime Minister Caught In Brisbane's First Alert
Special Australian Correspondent.
Rec. 11.15 p.m. Sydney, Aug. 20. The Prime Minister, Mr. J. Curtin, and Mrs. Curtin, were caught in Brisbane's first air-raid alert to-day. They were on the railway station when the warning sounded. Mr. Curtin and his wife took their places in a queue and went to an underground shelter. There was no sign of enemy aircraft and the cause of the alert has not been announced.
