Nazi Baltic Ports Raided by R.A.F. And Red Planes

Rec. 10.30 p.m. London, Aug. 19. Moscow radio states that the Red air force on- Tuesday night attacked Danzig, Kohigsberg and Tilsit (the latter two in East* Prussia). A number of fires broke out at Danzig and caused considerable damage. Thirteen sizeable fires* were observed' at Konigsberg and four at T:lsit. All the planes -returned safely. The same night the R.A.F. attacked Flensburg, where there are submarine and shipbuildihg yards. At Konigsberg a railway station was among the targets attacked. Many fires and a number of heavy explosions were caused. ■ Flensberg is the most northerly German port and has important submarine and shipbuilding yards. Other targets in north Germany were also attacked by the R.A.F. last night. Four of our planes are missing.
