New Ships Replacing British Losses In War

British Official Wireless.

Since the outbreak of war Britain has lost 415 warships of all types, though a great number of them are small ships. The Navy efficiency has not been impaired, because feverish building day and night has kept its strength at a point where it is still the most formidable sea force in the world. The losses include three battleships, two battle-cruisers, five aircraft-carriers, 22 cruisers, 14 merchant cruisers, 83 destroyers, 38 submarines, 11 corvettes, 10 sloops, one monitor, 152 trawlers and drifters, three hospital ships, sevcn transports, 20 minesweepers and two minelayers.
