It is Wicked to Waste Even Waste
In Germany, the minions of Hitler bludgeoned housewives into placing all their waste materials into specially graded bins kept in the households. At Inglewood a far more democratic system was instituted by the Inglewood committee of the National Council for the" Utilisation of Waste, and results just as effective are being noted. Following the setting up of the committee, the public of the town and district was educated in the idea of utilising, or rather saving waste, ' by a display of examples of non-ferrous metals in shop windows. A receptacle was then placed at the doorway of the Inglewood County Council offices, and the committee waited for results. They were forthcoming. The receptacle was immediately the repository of discarded aluminium kettles and pots, pieces of lead pipe, old tooth paste tubes, old copper articles and other non-ferrous metal asked for by the National Council. The materials are at present being stored by the county council and will later be graded and eent on to the pre-arranged national depots.
