The question of making essential materials last longer is a big one. Take, for instance, soap. Buy the best household variety, Cut into convenient-sized pieces, and place on a shelf in a dry room to harden and dry. Before use, keep in the kitchen for a time in a string bag. By this method its life is increased 100 per cent. The longer it is kept, within reason, the better.
