Answering the question as to how best every farmer can assist. the July " Exporter" said: "It is obvious that the number of dairy cows in milk cannot be suddenly increased: the building up process is ncccssarily gradual. So i n c r case d production must conie in a i n 1 y from thc farms which are already producing. The lower the production o f butter-fat per acre on indi•\ddual farms, the greater the potentialities.
