COLLECTION OF EGGS

RECORD HAWERA RESULT Eighty thousand eggs have been collected in Hawera and surrounding districts during the past 30 years for consignment to orphanages in Wellington. For the whole of that period Mrs. J. Hicks has organised the collection on behalf of St. John's Prsebyterian Church, Hawera, and this year a record number, 4201 eggs, were received and packed for transport.
