The two yearlings, both well-grown, . , one m fact almost 15 months old, submitted by Mr. L. M. Bevan, jnake a great appeal, being fu.ll oi butt€riat> strains. Both are by Pinecrest-bred bulls,, whose sire, Pinecrest Vagabond (sire of Pinecrest Choice Rose, with a junior, two-year-old C.O.R. 6071hs fat),_is a son of the imported Vagabond of Oaklands, with 13 tested daughters, and. on the maternal side incorporates the imported • blood oi Aster's Golden Laddie, Beauve- ■ lande Tim and Odd Tuck. The dams of the sires of the yearlings are closely, related to that great cow, CyriUa s Twylish Girl, C.O.R. 10231bs fat. The dams of the two yearlings carry imported strains, including Wolton Red Buoy ancl Brampton Merry Boy. Tests under orainary herd. conditions show how "tney produce, Kowhai Nui Dark av^*f"v I aging 4121bs fat in seven lactations, the ) lowest being 3701bs at 2 years and the highest 4831bs at five years; at eight . years she produced 4101bs fat. r ' i
