DREAMING SAM STRAIN The Trelan stud annuai draft of two two-year-old and four yearling grand6ons of th'e great Brampton Dreammg Sam must hold the attention of all who are looking for .hardy, strong-constitu-tioned sires supported by high butterfat backing. The six bulls are by Meon Odium, that sire lntensely bred from strains that produce butterfat and quality, being a son of Brampton Dreaming Sam (C.B.B.), Li C O.R. daughters, including Meon Megaera, 7031b. fat at two years (full brother to Meon Odium), Meon Mirth, 7011b. fat at two years. and Meon Kudos, 6951b. fat. Odium's dam, Meon Fury, combines the Sam blood with the Holly Bank Squire blood. thus ensuring outstanding production and type. Trelan Baronet, one two-year-old. is out of Ashvale s Oxford Stella, the only daughter of the Dommion record-holder Ashvale Dreaming Stella, 8151b. fat, by a Hua Brook bull incorporating the imported Mourier s Oxford Noble and Victor's Handsome Prince blood, The other two-year-old, Trelan Ballana, is out of Trelan Flo (3011b. fat, 3491b. fat). a daughter of Oaklands Royal Finance — Trelan Glory (3121b. fat. 38-lb. fat, 4181b. fat). Oaklands Royal Finance, who is by Brampton Coy Volunteer (imp.). sire of 17 C.O.R. daughters. is the sire of the dams of two other yearlings. Trelan Clem and Trelan Comet. The dam of the former has four records up to 3931b. '.fat, and her . grand-dam two up to 4121b., while the dam^of the latter has two records up to 3351b. fat, and her grand-dam four up to 4401b. fat. The dam of Trelan Chief. Trelan Aster, goes back to the great Goodwood Rupert sire of 23 C.O.R. daughters and of 33 classified daughters. Aster has four records up to 4581b. fat. while her dam has five records up to 4901b. fat. The dam of Trelan Corporal. Trelan Fairy Maid, has the remarkable records of 4331b. fat, 448 lb. fat, 5021b.' fat. 4461b. fat, 5671b. fat, or 479.21b. fat average over five years. All these records are put up under herd conditions close to the radius line. and the excellent appearance of the bulls, which are well grown, clearly demonstrates the robustness of their constitution.
