Winsome Lu (Reilly) starting from the seven furlongs, went away slowly and took 29s to cover her first two furlongs. Livening up, she reached the three furlongs in 42s, where she was joined by Val Pere (Whiro) and the haif-mile was passed in 55s. A smart pace was maratained to the finish, Val Pere finishing ra head in frgnt in lm 351s, the last throe I furlongs being compassed in 404s. This was quite a good effort on Winsome Lu s ipart, and she looks like being in the money at Foxton. Grindlay) and Notium ! (W. Grindlay). Resingold jumped brilliantly and completely eclipsed Notium, who, however, gave an improved exhibition. .
