NURSING AT MANGATOKI

Members of the Mangatoki home nursing class met at the, home of Mrs. G. L. Pease to make a preservation to Mesdames Llixton and Henry Z Matapu, who had acted as instructresses for ,the recently concluded class es. In making presentations ■ of a .cup, saucer and plate each, Mrs. Guy, Kaponga, president of the South Taranaki Red Cross Council, on behalf of the class thanked Mesdames Luxton and Henry. Opportunity was taken to present Mrs. F. Coates with a gift as a token of appreciation for her work as convener and also for her hospitality in making her home available for the holding of the classes. Both Mrs. Henry and Mrs. Coates returned thanks. Mrs. N. Linn thanked Mrs. Guy, Mrs. Henry and Mrs. Luxton on behalf of the Women's Institute for the arranging and instruction of the class, which had been wholly successful in the recent examinations. Competition winners were Mrs. Luxton, Mrs. J. H. Andersen and Miss J. Bennie. Miss D. Gatenby gave a pianoforte solo. Personal. Miss Evelyn Terry, who has been spending a holiday with her mother, Mrs. L. Terry, returns to Auckland during the week. Mrs. Hugh Linn has returned to New Plymouth after a visit to relatives in the district. Mr, J. P. Marx is spending a holiday at New Plymouth.
