Parents and employers were taken over the Stratford Technical High School yesterday to see technical and vocational work in progress. Ballot for Territorials. About 500 men are expected to be the requirement in Taranaki from the territorial ballot to make up the strength of the Taranaki regiment and mounted rifles units. Younger Men's Help Desired. Following the success of a Rugby gala day to assist Hawera patriotic funds the Hawera district patriotic committee desires to form a sub-committee of younger men to organise money-raising projects. Grateful Public. Public appreciation of a life spent in untiring efiorts on behalf of the sick and ailing was paid to Miss B. A. Campbell, on the occasion of her retirement from the position of matron of the New Plymouth hospital by a large gathering at New Plymouth.
