MILITARY AT FOXTON
Following upon this week's spring meeting of the Foxton Racing Club the course wil be taken over by the military authorities and they will remain in occupation from October 1 till the second week in November. The intimation was' made at the annual meeting of members, the president, Mr. W. E. Barber, explaining that approximately 1300 men, comprising artillery, engineers and signallers, would be under canvas. The club had been indemnified against damage to the property.
