PAEROA CANDIDATE
Verulam, who won a double in such easy fashion at the Combined Hunts meeting at New Plymouth at the end of last month, figures among the acceptors for the Kerepeehi Hack Handicap at Paeroa on Saturday. With 8.4 or 11 pounds above the minimum Verulam appears to be favourably treated and in view of his attractive form he is likely to be a hot favourite. His most formidable opponent appears to be his stablemate, Cillas.
