Mrs. H. Johnson, Owaka, Otago, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. W. F. McCullough, for the McCullough— Mark wedding to-morrow. Mrs. A. McAnally, Auckland, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. J. Bremner. Mrs. W. B. Farquharson returned yesterday from a holiday at Wanganui. Miss Molly Sangster is on a visit to Wellington. Miss S. Turkington, Christchurch, is the guest of Mrs. J. Howard, Portia Street, Stratford. Kitchen Evening. Misses Mary and Monica Sullivan entertained friends recently at Mrs. J. J. Sullivan's home to honour Miss Lorna Waite, who is shortly to be married. The evening was spent in cards and community singing and the guest of honour opened a number of "blue" kitchen gifts. Those present were Mrs. J. J. Sullivan, Misses A. Sullivan, M. J. and J. Sullivan, B. and E. Massey, B. Coe, A. and L. Bourke, M. and E. Sullivan, L. Waite and M. Walsh. Knitting Circle. The Misses Masters were hostesses at a knitting evening recently. Three patchwork quilts for the Lady Galway guild have been completed. Those present included Mesdames W. Shaw and E. W. McCullough and Misses Lucy Penn, Ceske, Uniacke, Molly Malone, Jean Jackson, Shirley Nowell and Joyce Hale.
