BLACKMAIL THEME AT KING'S. "Stronger Than Desire," with Virginia Bruce, Walter Pidgeon, Lee Bo\yman, Ann Dvorak, Rita Johnson, Ilka Chase and Ann Todd in the leading roles. will, head a double bill opening at the King's Theatre, Stratford, to-night. Jealousy which leads to a blackmail plot and culminates in murder, a sensational courtroom trial and sensational denouement are principal story elements of this society melodrama. The story is a combination of happy married life, legal intrigue, a blackmail plot and a murder mystery. Pidgeon plays the role of a successful lawyer, whose wife suspects him of a fiirtation. and retaliates with one of her own, only to find that she has been playing into the hands of a blackmailer. "The Crowd Roars," with Robert Taylor, Maureen O'Sullivan. Edward Arnold, Frank Morgan and William Gargan in the main parts, will be the second attraction.
