KAPONGA EUCHRE PARTY

At the weekly Kaponga patriotic euchre party there were 10 tables of players and two tables of bridge wei e also played. The women's prize for euchre was won by Mrs. E. Boyle arid the men's prize by Ian Paterson. The lucky number consolation prize was won by Miss Denham after a play-off, Mr. C. H. Brewer won the men's lucky number after a play-off with Mr. J. Watson. Mrs. S. J. Lewis was the winner at bridge. Prizes were given by Mrs. A. R. Bates and Messrs. W. G. Cran and E. L. Mulcock. A competition for a rose-bowl presented by Mr. L. Beer was ' won by Mrs. J. Kaiscr and a cup, saucer and plate also given by Mr. L. Beer as a second prize was won by Douglas Patc -on. The profit on the evening was £3 4s 9d.
