LEG JAMMED IN TRACTOR

Taihape, Sept. 23. Severe injuries were suffered by Mr. Len Collinson, farm manager for Mr. C. B. Heatley at the Blackhill Station, near Taihape, when his leg was jammed in a tractor. Amputation of the limb was necessar,, . Mr. Collinson was driving a tractor to which harrows were attached when a chain from the harrows caught against his foot, which was badly crushed. Mr. Collinson is a returned soldier. His wife died on Thursday from pneumonia.
