Until full information is furnished the Taranaki Provincial Patriotic Council has decided to withhold agreement with a proposal for a national effort by provincial councils to raise £1,000,000 by the end of this year. National Patriotic Work Criticised. Disagreement with the National Patriotic Council's proposal to make available from patriotic funds £100,000 for the relief of distress in London and £20,000 for the provision of recreation huts at Waiouru camp was expressed by Mr. P.
